Wireless Internet Costa Rica

One of our new products here at Costa Rica Cellular Connection is our Data Card product, USB modems that allow our clients to connect to the internet at broadband speeds, anywhere their travels take them in Costa Rica. The reviews have been great from our clients that used our mobile internet product, however we wanted to test it for ourselves. It worked great- in fact I was emailing customers while we were driving down the road. We also wanted to see what the Wifi options were at a lot of the hotels in Costa Rica, as we understand people are weighing this into their options. The good news- many hotels in Costa Rica are starting to provide Wifi hotspots their guests. The bad news-this generally means in the common areas like the lobby, and the restaurants, and can be spotty if you are not in the correct location. I think this may have to do with the fact that many of the building structures are concrete with effects the frequency that a Wifi network uses. If you want to be able to access the internet from anywhere else, our 3G internet product is the way to go. We have been to about 8 hotels in the last month or so, ranging from really nice to a more economy motel, and found this to be the case, no internet in the room.
