We've had a couple positive things happen with regards to the coverage on both products. With our data card service, customers have reported great coverage, almost everywhere. The second great thing is, ICE, the Costa Rican telecommunications company, built out the 3G network to accommodate mobile data, and this has really helped the coverage foot print for our 3g phones that we also rent. We are happy to report (mainly through customer feedback!) that coverage is getting really good in Costa Rica.
Other good news- Google has added a product to their GMAIL application that should allow for our wireless internet users to save money. The product is called google voice, and we have found it to be by far the cheapest VOiP option out there. This means a customer of ours, who travels to Costa Rica with a laptop, could rent a USB wireless internet card from us, and use it to connect to the internet and make calls, saving them money.
